IQ System for rapid and more comfortable reading. 30-time Memory with Average. Latex Free. Requires 4 AA Batteries. Large Display. Instructions in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese. Large Display.
mark of fitness
The mark of fitness unit is easy to operate
with instructions that are simple and easily understood.
I prefer it over self inflating units because the battery
life is longer. The batteries are not required to operate the
inflation mechanism. The sound beep on the unit is very helpfull
in warning you that you have enough inflation on the arm cuff.
didnt like it
Didnt like it, hard to understand how to use it and it didnt give me a single reading at all. So I returned it and paid few extra bucks to get an automatic blood pressure monitor from the same brand and is working fine.

Excellent design
My monitor arrived 1 day ahead of schedule. So far, I’m extremely impressed with the overall monitor design and the quality of the cuff material. Although a little awkward at first, the EasyCuff feature seems to aid in self monitoring because it conforms to your arm while you finish wrapping the cuff. The readouts are easily legible.
Typically, I’ve been very skeptical of readings taken from home monitors and those found in grocery/drug stores because of the rate of cuff deflation. The deflation rate of this monitor has a humanlike quality. That alone increases my confidence level in the reading.
I’ve had this monitor now for about 2.5 years and am still as impressed with this monitor as when it was pulled out of the box. It’s not uncommon for me to hear my wife fire the unit up at 3 AM, followed by a sigh of relief when she realizes what she felt was probably from a bad dream. If you’re looking for a good blood pressure monitor – this is the one!

Disappointed
*** UPDATE *** : After our third attempt with customer service they were willing to send us a small cuff to correct the issue. Although we received a cuff that works I wouldn’t count on that happening again so your better off ordering a different monitor or also ordering a small cuff at the same time if 9.4″ is too big for you.
We purchased this blood pressure monitor because it’s the only one that advertised a cuff that would fit my me and my wife (7.5″-12.2″). When we received the monitor we were disappointed to find that the medium cuff fits arm sizes 9.4″-14.2″ and is printed clearly on the box. Do NOT buy this cuff if you have a smaller arm (less than 9.4″).
We did a lot of research to find a good monitor and even looked on the Lifesource site. All of their product literature says the medium cuff will fit a 7.5″-12.2″ inch arm. I called the Lifesource customer service and they said we’re out of luck but of course we can purchase another cuff from them. I also tried emailing them twice, hoping for a better response, but they never responded.
A previous reviewer was able to get a free cuff but we weren’t so lucky. Now, we’ll look for another brand. Lifesource may be a good brand but they didn’t seem to care that all of the literature is out of date and weren’t willing to do anything to fix it. We’re returning the monitor and will try to get Amazon to at least update their product description.
Ideal BP Monitoring Product for Small Children
After hours of searching for a BP monitor that would accurately take my seven year old’s BP, I stumbled into this product on Amazon. It works wonderfully and the best part is that it is digital and inflates on it’s own. Simple/Easy to use.

An excellent product
My old Lifesource BP monitor was, I thought, a bit worse for wear and so I ordered anothert blood pressure monitor made by another company. (Prevention DS-1902PV Auto-Inflate Blood Pressure Monitor) A warning: do not ever purchase anything under the Prevention or Mark of Fitness brand. The Prevention unit was horrible. The first one gave wildly inflated and inconsistent readings and constantly warned me of heart irregularities. A replacement unit did the same. The company has offered to provide a third replacement, but I grew tired of the obviously poor Prevention and Mark of Fitness products, so I ordered a new Lifesource unit.
The readings are dead-on accurate. The Lifesource unit also has an irregular heartbeat feature. I tried this and the Prevention unit apart. The Lifesource unit did not show an irregular heartbeat, while the Prevention unit once again did – as well as a vastly higher BP reading.
The Lifesource unit no longer comes packed with a carrying case, which I consider to be a minus, but it does include an AC adapter, which is a plus. There’s a little scale on the side to indicate the level of your hypertension, which is useless, I think since you wouldn’t be monitoring your blood pressure if you didn’t already know you were somewhere on the hypertensive scale. So the scale neither adds nor detracts from the unit.
Lifesource offers everything you could ask for in a blood pressure monitor. It is easy to use. It is very accurate. And it is covered by a lifetime warranty, a fact that I had forgotten with regard to my old unit.
Lifesource customer service is responsive and helpful.
Altogether a wonderful package and far better than the units distributed by Mark of Fitness under the Prevention brand.

Good item, but how old is it really?
Well I turned down a cheaper listing on Ebay, because I thought the stuff on Amazon was FRESH and NEW. The Ebay listing (for about half the price) had an expiration date of 10/07. I have found vitamins in stores with expiration dates 5 years or more from todays date.
I was happy to pay extra to get here, since I like Amazon and they have never done me wrong. EVERY transaction was ABOVE my expectations.
UNTIL this one. The date is 10/07, so I would say they were probably “new” 2 or 3 years ago. This is similar to buying bread at the store. It is fresh and new about 8 days before the date on the bread. It is about a week old by the time you reach the date.
Just writing this to tell others to make sure they confirm the expiration date before ordering “NEW” from here.
Sorry Amazon, you lost your perfect record! I will probably still buy books and dvds from you, but vitamins need to be fresh and new!

Reads too high.
Exchanging for third unit. Previous units read 15 points too high compared to Dr’s and drug store readings. Very sensitive to position relative to heart. All other features as advertised.
Very sensitive device
Unfortunately, this monitor is very sensitive. You have to be very careful of position of your hand and monitor when measuring. If you change it just a little higher or lower than instructed the results become quite different.

The EW3039S works very well but is not “Ultra Slim”.
Panasonic EW3039s Ultra Slim Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor
My experience with “J&R Music and Computer World” was good but the dimensions for EW3039S are the same than for EW3006S so I would suggest removing the words “Ultra Slim” from its publicity.
You can verify the dimensions at:

The blood pressure monitor is working very well. The three-color light system let me know the status of my blood pressure without having the need of turning on the light at night and I can continue sleeping as a baby so I like this feature, enjoy !.
Excellent Product
Seems accurate and easy to use. I bought 2, one for mom and one for grandma. Both of them love it.

Do You Really Want to Know Your Blood Pressure?
I’ve always monitored my blood pressure using those sit down stations you find in drug store, at work, and other locations. I was interested in knowing how my pressure varied in different situations. There are a lot of options – cuff-type, wrist watch-style, and various travel options. I opted for the Omron HEM-670IT model. It can be used on your wrist – easier than putting on an arm band cuff. It’s self-inflating, and best of all, it comes with software and automatic data download to your computer. It’s a relatively small device and comes with a hard plastic travel case. It comes with a USB download cable and the required batteries. I’ve been using it for several months now and couldn’t be happier. It’s easy to use and tells you when you have it in the correct location to get an accurate reading. Downloading the data is a piece of cake. Loading the software on your computer is also easy. Best of all, the software also works with the Omron pedometers (I also ordered one of those after the good results I’ve had with the blood pressure monitor). Is it perfect? Hard to say. I’ve used it while measuring my blood pressure with other devices – it provides similar results. If you’re looking for absolute trends you’d probably need to compare with a professional reading – I have not done that yet. But it does seem to be within plus or minus a could of points — good enough to see if you pressure is changing and identify trends.

Avoid this brand
HoMedics BPA-300 TheraP Deluxe Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with DK Technology
Actually purchased HoMedics BPA-430WGN in March 2008 from Walgreens. Product seems about the same in price and features. Was very impressed with it out of the box and thought it was probably a step forward in technology and accuracy. I had not monitored my BP for a few months and was concerned to find it up about 30mm on a consistent basis. After consultation with my doctor I gradually increased my medication till pressures were near goal in the morning. This resulted in me going into cardiogenic shock (episodes of dizziness associated with SBP below 80) on 4 evenings during the next 2 months. I finally checked this machine against a mercury manometer (admittedly I should have done this much earlier) and found the SBP readings averaged over 30 mm higher with the Homedics device. I now have an Omron HEM-780 which is much more accurate. My BP is now at goal with less medication and no more nasty episodes. As we use home BP measurements more and more and base treatment decisions on them we really need machines that are certified for accuracy. Avoid this brand!
Poor Results
I was very disappointed with this blood pressure monitor and returned it for credit. The cuff is very difficult and the data was not accurate. I would not recommend for anyone who must monitor their daily blood pressure
