LifeSource Blood Pressure Monitor with AccuFit Extra Large Cuff

too big!

I was pleased to find an extra large cuff, but this was too big for a guy with an 18″ arm! Very generous sizing- you may want to opt for the model with the large cuff which is cheaper. Also, the unit is a bit louder than others, but overall it is good.

Accruate large cuff blood pressure monitor

I bought this product after a good amount of research among leading manufacturers of home blood pressure monitors including Omron and Microlife. I also currently own an Omrom and wasn’t particularly impressed with the accuracy of the readings.

The BHS (British Hypertensive Society) publishes ratings and I carefully evaluated the ones that received the highest A/A rating as well as some of the newer offerings from these manufacturers that hadn’t as yet been rated.

I went with this product primarily because it seems to be the only one with the extra large cuff (also offers a regular cuff option UA-280) and seemed accurate. After having had it for some time now I couldn’t be more pleased. Readings are quick, machine is quiet and most important very consistent and accurate.

Highly recommend this monitor.

Prevention WS-820PV Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor
Very accurate. We checked it against our family doctors office readings and we trust it completely. Well made and easy to use.

Very quick & simple

This is great for fast & simple monitoring of your blood pressure & pulse. It takes about 1 minute to give you blood pressure & pulse, and it tells you if it detects an irregular pulse (such as PVC). There’s no fuss, and no stethoscope, nor hand pump, nor any of that old school stuff. The formed wrist band has a velcro strap which fastens & unfastens quickly & easily, and everything is done at the push of a button. You can do it easily all by yourself.

Note: if, for some reason, you really need super-accurate readings, then you have to be careful to have your wrist always at the same level (relative to your heart) every time you take a reading, because you can get different readings if your wrist is higher or lower than your heart; but that is true with any device. I just try to have my arm be “about” the same place (relative to the heart), so I get pretty consistent readings, and at least I know the general range. I don’t care about a difference between, say, 117/69 and 119/72 — I just want to know if I’m unusually high or low, and this is plenty accurate for that.

This device has 2 30-entry memories (to keep track for 2 different people, or to keep track of morning & evening, or something like that), but I don’t even use them because I just want to know where I am at the given time. If you are interested, it will display an average of the readings in each memory, and you can look back through the last 30 individual readings in each memory.

The one negative point is that it needs ALKALINE batteries, not nickle metal hydride (apparently because the electric field from the hydride batteries would interfere with the electronics the device uses to detect pulses). It needs 2 AAA batteries, and so far one set of batteries has lasted me 100 readings or so.

 Coricidin HBP Best Head Med
I’ve used Coricidin HBP for several years now. It works for me when others don’t. Other products such as Sudafed and many others containing the same ingredients cause blood pressure to rise. When you already have sinus congestion this rise in blood pressure can increase your discomfort. Not with Coricidin HBP. It works as advertised and I’m sure slightly different for different folks but for the most part you get 4-6 hours of relief. I highly recommend this product and recommend Amazon’s program to have order filled automatically on a regular basis. Thanks Amazon for providing an excellent product at an excellent price.

i cannot find this product in any retail stores in my area. I am very happy that I can get it through Amazon.

 pressure cuff
I was very happy with the pressure cuff I purchased. It was the exact one I was looking for and was much cheaper from Amazon than from the manufacturer. I received my purchase faster than expected. So, I’m pleased with my Amazon purchase once again.

LifeSource Blood pressure monitor cuff
It’s wider than the pre-formed cuff and took a little getting used to. It doesn’t pinch like the other cuff and can be used on other members of the household since it’s adjustable.
I’m glad I made the switch. The cuff arrived quickly. I ordered a new cuff. I would order from this seller again.LifeSource UA-281 Blood Pressure Monitor Cuff, Large (14.2″ – 17.7″)

Digital Blood Pressure Monitor
I ordered this BP Monitor to assist the docs in getting the patients back to the rooms in timley manner. Since I am not a nurse and have not had training in taking blood pressures, I just slip this onto the patients arm and it’s so simple to use – just press the button and it automatically pumps the cuff and gives me an accurate reading. I just love it! Thanks.

Great product
This is really a good product especially for people who want to track their blood pressure for longer time. It has a big display which you don’t need glasses to read.

Worth having
It took a little practice but after a few times I became much better at adjusting the cuff correctly. It’s a good bp monitor and correlated fairly closely with my doctor’s device.

An excellent product
My old Lifesource BP monitor was, I thought, a bit worse for wear and so I ordered anothert blood pressure monitor made by another company. (Prevention DS-1902PV Auto-Inflate Blood Pressure Monitor) A warning: do not ever purchase anything under the Prevention or Mark of Fitness brand. The Prevention unit was horrible. The first one gave wildly inflated and inconsistent readings and constantly warned me of heart irregularities. A replacement unit did the same. The company has offered to provide a third replacement, but I grew tired of the obviously poor Prevention and Mark of Fitness products, so I ordered a new Lifesource unit.

The readings are dead-on accurate. The Lifesource unit also has an irregular heartbeat feature. I tried this and the Prevention unit apart. The Lifesource unit did not show an irregular heartbeat, while the Prevention unit once again did – as well as a vastly higher BP reading.

The Lifesource unit no longer comes packed with a carrying case, which I consider to be a minus, but it does include an AC adapter, which is a plus. There’s a little scale on the side to indicate the level of your hypertension, which is useless, I think since you wouldn’t be monitoring your blood pressure if you didn’t already know you were somewhere on the hypertensive scale. So the scale neither adds nor detracts from the unit.

Lifesource offers everything you could ask for in a blood pressure monitor. It is easy to use. It is very accurate. And it is covered by a lifetime warranty, a fact that I had forgotten with regard to my old unit.

Lifesource customer service is responsive and helpful.

Altogether a wonderful package and far better than the units distributed by Mark of Fitness under the Prevention brand.
